Umnotho Financial Institute was granted a banking license by the Reserve Bank as per the Co-operative Banks Act 40 of 2007. This is where we collectively save towards building material and we are able to access building loans.
Building a house is an expensive process that forced us to create our own financial institution that will understand our needs as a people.
