Building Community Wealth Through Enterprise
Leruo Investments is a community-owned investment company, established by the members of Umnotho to create long-term economic opportunity and shared prosperity.
Our mission is simple:
to build profitable, sustainable businesses that empower Umnotho members and strengthen the community as a whole.

What Is Leruo Investments?
Leruo Investments is owned by the Umnotho community and focuses on developing commercial opportunities in and around Umnotho-owned land. As a starting point, Leruo has acquired:

An old petrol station
A shopping complex
both of which are being renovated and redeveloped to generate sustainable income.
These projects are designed to create value that remains within the community and benefits current and future generations.
Our Inspiration
Leruo Investments draws inspiration from Royal Bafokeng Holdings (RBH), one of Africa’s most successful community-owned investment companies.
RBH, owned by the Bafokeng people of the North West Province, has built a diversified asset base valued at approximately $4 billion, demonstrating what is possible when communities take ownership of their economic future.
Leruo believes that the Umnotho community has the same potential to build a strong, self-sustaining business ecosystem.

Community-Led Growth
The Umnotho community has already demonstrated its ability to mobilise resources and build assets collectively.
To date, the community has:
-
Raised more than R20 million
-
Purchased 34 hectares of prime land
-
Continued to grow its asset base through collective participation
These achievements form the foundation on which Leruo Investments is being built.
